It sometimes surprises people that Melissa’s poodles are active in the backcountry of Alaska as well as in the conformation ring in AKC dog shows. Melissa will always maintain that a structurally correct poodle can be an active adventure poodle in Alaska and show off its form and substance in the show ring.
Melissa and her Galavanting Poodles have had great success in the AKC dog show ring. But Melissa will be the first to tell you, she raises poodles primarily for their versatility and incomparable abilities as outdoor adventure dogs.
