The First Dog Show of the Alaska Season: Getting back into the swing of things!

I was at a dog show today! The Alaska Kennel Club dog show in Anchorage is the traditional start to our all-breed dog show season in Alaska.
Unfortunately, Sojourner sprained a muscle in his rear and I had to pull him from the show. I was HEARTBROKEN. So many months planning and preparing for Sojourner’s dog show debut. Only to have it all dashed a week before the shows.
But, I am happy to report that Sojourner is doing well, resting and healing. His dog show debut has simply been delayed.
A friend from Washington had come up to visit, attend the dog show, and meet the some of the Galavanting puppies I still had at the house. Since I didn’t have Sojourner, I was able to step up and help my friend by showing one of Bryce’s nieces. She was fun to show. A lovely girl that reminded me of Bryce in many ways.
She and I took Winners Bitch and Best of Winners for a four point major! It turned out that we made a pretty good team together.

In layman’s terms, we did very well at the dog show!
