I cannot count the number of dog booties I’ve gone through in the last decade. Not to mention the number of booties I’ve tried through-out my life in dogs, but let’s just address the last decade in dogs alone…

I’ve visited countless pet stores. I’ve researched thousands of articles addressing the great debate of the dog bootie. There are untold numbers of online stores, fabric retailers, and DIY dog bootie patterns that have been explored by me in the last 10 years.
And then I find a bootie I think might work... but it all seems in vain.
I’m hesitant to count the number of dog booties I’ve lost in this last decade. Poor, lone booties that don’t make it through an entire outdoor adventure on one of my dogs’ feet. Sometimes two or three booties end up staying behind, buried in snow, or lost on the side of a mud trail, or in the twists and tangles of the Alaska bush.
When it comes to the search for the perfect dog bootie for my Alaska poodles, one could say I’m a bit of a connoisseur. The keyword here being; search.
But! At long last! I think I’ve found the best bootie for my wonderful, active, happy-to-run-through-the-muck poodles!
Introducing: Pawz Dog Boots
I say introducing, but I’m here to say these booties are not new. They’ve been around for a little while, but have somehow missed my radar. And, I’m willing to bet, they’ve missed a good many of my fellow poodle lovers’ radar as well. I feel confident in saying that because so many of you have reached out to me about these unique rubber boots you see my poodles wearing!
Why do I love these Pawz Dog Boots?
I’ll give you three solid reasons why I love these boots:

First: They are made from a thin rubber that allows each paw to spread out over the walking surface and do its job as a poodle paw. I find other boots tend to restrict the movement and design of a dog’s paw. The restriction makes it really hard for any dog to keep her balance or get a good feel for the terrain underneath their paws. I’ve found that these Pawz Dog Boots allow the paw to leave tracks, which tells me that these booties are not restricting the paw from doing what it was made to do for the benefit of the poodle (or any dog!).
Second: These boots stay on! These booties are made to fit snug on the paw. And boy do they do just that! My poodles wear these boots while racing around snowy trails and leaping into winter snow banks and I’ve yet to lose a bootie. I won’t offer a guarantee that these booties will stay on through everything that gets thrown at them. But I will say, for my active crew, these booties seem to do the job.
Third: The price is right. I pay about $17 for a package of 12 booties. That works out to about $.70 per bootie. Not too shabby! I really appreciate having extra booties in a package, too.
Oops! I may have lied… There is a fourth reason I love these Pawz Dog Boots; they come in different colors! And, as they say, variety is the spice of life!

One more thing: for reference, I buy the size large for my poodles and they fit perfectly on their paws. Your poodle may be different, so be sure to double check your poodle’s paws to get a great fit!
