A little wild. A lot of wonderful
From slow mornings at home to snowy trails and summer rivers, Galavanting Poodles are raised to be part of it all.
A Galavanting Poodle is a good fit for you if…
You're looking for a companion to share your life with, not just a dog to share your house.
Your idea of a great weekend involves fresh air, a little dirt, and a good adventure.
Hiking, biking, skiing, kayaking, or exploring a new trail are regular parts of your life.
You believe adventures don't have to be grand. A walk through the woods, a road trip, or an afternoon exploring somewhere new counts, too!
Puppies
Breeding purebred Standard Poodles is more than a passion of mine. It's a commitment to preserving everything that makes this remarkable breed so special.
I'm fortunate to work with beautiful pedigrees that trace back more than 100 years. Each litter is thoughtfully planned to build on generations before it, preserving the Standard Poodle's original purpose as a versatile, intelligent companion and working partner.
I believe a good poodle should be able to do just about anything! My goal is to raise dogs who are just as comfortable spending a lazy Sunday watching Netflix as they are hiking through Alaska's backcountry. They're clever, athletic, adaptable, and happiest when they're included in the lives of their people.
Galavanting Poodles have found their way into homes around the world, and I love seeing the different lives they lead. Some are beloved family companions; others compete in dog sports or work as service dogs trained to meet their people's individual needs. Some hop aboard bush planes here in Alaska, while others make themselves right at home in New York City brownstones.
Different lives, different adventures, and poodles who are right there for all of it!
If that sounds like the kind of life you envision with a poodle, I'd love to get to know you! Complete the puppy inquiry below, and we'll begin exploring whether a Galavanting Poodle might be the right fit for your home.
Where the Adventure Begins
A Galavanting Poodle lifestyle looks like…
A poodle head resting in your lap while you drink your morning coffee
Laughter in the evenings when your poodle prances around the coffee table with her favorite toy
A fuzzy poodle body lying on your bare feet
Wet feet and paws after a day on the lake
Two best friends journeying through life together

"My experience with Galavanting Poodles has been amazing. From the very beginning Melissa has been wonderful to work with. She has answered all of my questions, even the ones that felt silly/obvious, with precision and thoughtfulness.. We have been so happy with Rosie who has been happy, healthy, and excited to learn from the very beginning. I am so glad I found Galavanting poodles and our adventure poodle, Rosie."
